Labor Support (for planned hospital birth)

                                  
My own birth experiences include the hospital, a freestanding birth center, and a homebirth. I understand the decision-making process around choosing a birth place and provider.  I want to help you experience the simplicity of normal birth, keep your baby with you, and minimize the need for high-tech obstetrics.

Labor support includes:         

• prenatal consultation
• attendance at labor, birth and first hour postpartum
• postpartum visit

My specialty is natural birth.  I have helped over 300 women and their partners through labor and birth.   Most at home, but many in the hospital.  A difficult labor may call for IV pain medication or an epidural; I have experience in offering support to laboring women in these situations. 

Fear causes pain, labor support is the best medicine for fear.
